  2. Brazil- the term “high school” (also referred to Secondary School and Ensino Medio”) refers generally to schools in grades ten through twelve. It is preparing for college they actually have the exam so that they’ll know who can have the guts in stepping the world of college.
  3. Canada- high school referred to as Secondary school or collegiate institute refers generally to schools comprising grades ten through twelve.
  4. England- they have this variations when referring high school. Some schools stated that it is a year where they teach grammar for girls, a year for secondary level. It depends on the school you wished to enroll.
  5. Germany- 9-10 ages required. High school for them varies depending on the age of the students.
  6. Iran & Israel- It took 3 years in studying this year. They have something in common.
  7. Japan- High school in Japan covers grades 10 through 12 it isn’t mandatory anyway but during 3rd year students took examinations in preparing for college.
  8. Lithuania- in this country high school is not for secondary education but for college one.
  9. Malaysia- it begins at the age of 13.
  10. Mexico-term for prep school, it started in 10-12 ages.
  11. New Zealand- it begins at age 9.
  12. Norway- you can enjoy high school life in 3 years.
  13. Pakistan- 9-11.
  14. Philippines- ages 12-13. It took 4 years to graduate.
  15. Scotland- refers to secondary institution.
  16. Singapore- 13-16.
  17. South Korea-10.
  18. South Africa-8.
  19. Taiwan- includes junior, senior, vocational high school, military school.
  20. US-ages 9-10 through 12.
